This month, I'm giving everyone a sneak peek at my latest project. The 3 axis skull: |

This project could not be possible without the photos, videos, and tutorials of the great people over at Graveyardskulls.com. They perfected this 3 axis skull build later with a newer version. However, I am confident that I can use their information on their old skull build and make it work for me. |

Today, I started making a Spider Sac. Why? You might ask? Because I can... and it's extremely hot outside! This was a simple task that only took about 45 minutes to create. |
I managed to finally finish up my How To for last Halloween's Grave Digger. That link can be found here.
Check out the How To here. |

A three axis skull is in the works for next month. My source of inspiration came from Graveyardskulls.com. Be sure to check in for more information on that project later. |

What type of haunted cemetery doesn't include some creepy entrance columns and signage? None that I can recall. That's why I am currently working on building some columns for my Halloween cemetery scene. I want the columns to have a cemetery sign that arches over both of the columns detailing the name of the cemetery. Now, I have had a fence for several years, but was lacking in a proper entranceway. So this year, entrance columns are first on my list of props to make. While doing my typical research into building great looking columns, I realized that just about any style of column will work as long as you make them as creepy and worn out as you possibly can. I plan to add distressing and discoloration to the faux stone. I also plan to add moss and creepy vines to the mix to creep them up even more! Please check out some of my progress below:

Now that the columns are built, I will be planning out the process of painting them to look worn, old, and very neglected. I really want to add some moss and vines to them so they look very overgrown and dilapidated. My plan also include an archway that will be attached through the top of the columns and loop over displaying my haunt name: Piney Hills. So, I guess I have some more construction to do before I can say I am halfway finished. My plans will also include attaching very thing fishing string hanging down from the archway, so that people will think it's spider webs! Oh well, it will be worth the labor in the end, as these columns will creep out all that enter. There's more to come, so please check back often for updates!
